I Speak Failure

Failing at something may stem from a thousand different reasons; it could be from a lack of moral support, from having low self-esteem, from social anxiety or just the thought that maybe it was never meant for us in the first place. I am no stranger to failure. I have failed countless times that everything I do is written in one of the many unbounded queues of failure. I might not sound like I have failed so many times in this journey with all these blinding positivities but trust me, I’ve been there quite a lot and I’ve learned a few tricks to overcome the severe penalty of failing big time on something such as unable to start a sincere talk with people because you’re afraid of bringing the subject matter into the conversation and end up being judged or worse, having disappointed friends or a family because they expected way too much from you. Moreover, there might be a time in our lives where we are caught in between obstacles as we turn every piece of the puzzle to complete the big picture, however, with the approaching end of the story, we soon realize that even if we push ourselves through these barricades, there are instances where we…fail. We failed not because we are not smart enough to handle these challenges but we failed because of the life lessons we need to learn. Even some of the famous people on Earth have failed at something — J.K. Rowling, Henry Ford, Steve Jobs, Sir Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, and Sir Thomas Edison — to name a few. Look, it’s ok to fail at something because, in our brief existence, the realization will tell us that life is not just about chocolates and candies. Sometimes, it’s a coffee. We stir the coffee, smell the brewed aroma and add the sugar for the bittersweet experience in a morning sip. The same goes for our lives, there is no way we can be successful without failure attached to every string of our success. This is how it works. And if there is one thing we must be constantly reminded of, it’s keeping ourselves motivated in the simplest gestures by giving us the “go” sign and continue reaching for greater heights.
